Steel-Plastic Composite Geogrid

High-strength steel-plastic composite geogrid for soft-ground improvement, embankment reinforcement and other civil-engineering applications.

Available in uniaxial and biaxial configurations, steel-plastic composite geogrid provides high tensile strength with low elongation for reinforcement of soil structures and transportation infrastructure.

Product Overview

Steel-plastic composite geogrid is a reinforcement geosynthetic designed to provide high tensile strength with limited deformation. The product is available in uniaxial and biaxial configurations to meet different soil-reinforcement requirements.

Typical applications include soft-ground reinforcement for highways and railways, as well as abutments, approaches, wharves, revetments, dams and slag-yard foundations. It can also be used for secondary reinforcement of reinforced slopes and other projects requiring additional tensile reinforcement.

Key Features

High tensile strength

Uniaxial grades are available up to 150 kN/m, while biaxial grades are available up to 120 kN/m.

Low elongation

The technical specification limits ultimate elongation to 3% or less for both uniaxial and biaxial product configurations.

Low-strain performance

Tensile resistance at 1% elongation is specified for each available product grade.

Uniaxial and biaxial options

Available in longitudinal and biaxial reinforcement configurations for different project requirements.

Ground reinforcement

Designed for soft-ground, embankment, slope and transportation-infrastructure reinforcement applications.

Technical Notes

  1. The product is available in separate uniaxial and biaxial reinforcement configurations with different strength grades.
  2. Ultimate tensile strength and tensile resistance at 1% elongation are minimum requirements for the corresponding product grade.
  3. Ultimate elongation is limited to 3% or less for both specification groups.
  4. Project-specific selection should be confirmed according to the required reinforcement direction, tensile grade and design conditions.
