LDPE Geomembrane (GL-1)

Low-density polyethylene geomembrane for agricultural water containment and aquaculture lining applications.

Manufactured from LDPE, LLDPE using a blown-film process, GL-1 geomembrane is available in multiple thicknesses and widths to suit project-specific lining requirements.

Product Overview

GL-1 is a low-density polyethylene geomembrane manufactured from LDPE, LLDPE using a blown-film production process. It is designed as a flexible lining material for applications requiring water containment and seepage control.

The material is primarily used for seepage control in agricultural water-conservancy projects, including channels and water-storage ponds, as well as aquaculture applications such as fish ponds. It can also be combined with geotextiles to form composite geomembrane systems where required by the project design.

Technical Notes

  1. Machine direction (MD) and cross machine direction (XMD) average values are based on five test specimens in each direction.
  2. Break elongation is calculated using a gauge length of 50 mm at 50 mm/min.
  3. Carbon black dispersion requirements follow GRI-GM17 Note (3).
  4. The manufacturer selects either the Standard OIT method or the High Pressure OIT method for antioxidant evaluation.
  5. “N.R.” means Not Recommended according to the referenced GRI-GM17 table.
