Polypropylene Short-Fiber Needle-Punched Nonwoven Geotextile

Polypropylene nonwoven geotextile for reinforcement, filtration, drainage and protection in transportation and ground-engineering applications.

This polypropylene short-fiber needle-punched nonwoven geotextile is designed for road subgrades, drainage systems, tunnels, slope protection and selected railway applications.

Product Overview

Polypropylene short-fiber needle-punched nonwoven geotextile is a permeable geosynthetic material manufactured from PP fibers. It is used in transportation and ground-engineering systems where reinforcement, filtration, drainage or protection functions are required.

Typical uses include road-subgrade reinforcement, subgrade drainage, tunnel waterproofing and drainage protection, slope-protection works and anti-slip layers in selected ballastless-track applications. In drainage applications, the permeable structure allows water or gas to pass while helping retain surrounding soil particles.

Key Features

Permeable nonwoven structure

The needle-punched structure allows water or gas to pass through the material for filtration and drainage applications.

Subgrade reinforcement

Used in road-subgrade systems to support soil stabilization and help limit differential deformation.

Filtration and drainage

Provides a permeable interface that supports drainage while helping retain surrounding soil particles.

Tunnel protection and drainage

Used in tunnel waterproofing and drainage works to help protect the waterproofing membrane during construction and service while also providing a drainage function.

Mechanical performance

Thickness, breaking strength, CBR puncture strength and trapezoidal tearing strength requirements are defined according to the selected specification.
